Training for the End of Year GFA Carnival is underway! Fusion FX is open to all gymnasts in our recreational and competitive programs. It's an opportunity for your child to show off their gymnastics and dance moves, while working in a team!
What is Fusion FX?
Fusion FX is a captivating gymsport that combines the best elements of artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, aerobic gymnastics, and dance into spectacular group performance routines. It's about creative expression, synchronisation, and showcasing a diverse range of skills in a performance setting.
Who can attend?
We invite all gymnasts aged 5 and above, regardless of their current skill level, to join our new Fusion FX program! This is an unparalleled opportunity for your child to develop a diverse range of skills, build confidence, form lasting friendships, and shine on stage. Levels
The weekly class will have a capacity of 50 gymnasts of all levels who will train together. Within each session there will be rotations for skill development where we will divide the class into three groups based on experience. For example, during a tumbling rotation we will divide into a group of beginner, intermediate and advanced tumblers. This will ensure an accessible program for all.
Group routine levels will be decided based on age and experience / ability.
When and where
Session times: Sundays 3:30-5pm (90 minute class) weekly
**No training on 20/09/2026 and 26/10/2026 due to GymStar competitions – no charges for these dates**

Performance opportunities
Enrolment in the Fusion FX program enables participation in the following key events for 2026, offering incredible opportunities to showcase their hard work:
- Balwyn Gymnastics Club Championships: Sunday 2 August 2026
- GFA Carnival: Friday 6 to Sunday 8 November 2026 (exact day of competition TBC)
- Balwyn Gymnastics Club Display Day: Sunday 13 December 2026
Prices
- $25.65 per class ($47.35 per fortnightly debit).
- There will be an additional $92 entry fee for the GFA carnival competition to cover entry and costuming.

How to enrol
- Log in to the Perfect Gym Client Portal using your linked email address
- Select the 'Book' tab at the top of the page
- Select 'Swimming lessons/Gymnastics'
- Make sure your club is set to 'Boroondara Sports Complex'
- Make sure the top left hand toggle is switched to 'Enrolment'
- Filter by Activity Type: 'Gymnastics Recreational Program 2'
- Find 'Sun 3:30 – Fusion FX' and select “Enrol now'
**Please note: this enrolment can not be redeemed as part of the current gymnastics campaign.**

Missed classes
Due to the nature of the class, it will not be possible to complete a make-up booking as there is only one class available per week. However, if minimum of 3 hours' notice is given, you will receive a monetary credit to your account . This credit will cover the charges of one class in your next debit. You must provide written evidence of absence via email to bsc.gymnastice@ymca.org.au minimum of 3 hours prior to the class.
