Why learn to swim with us?
We’re proud to offer swimming lessons through the Y’s comprehensive swim program.
Our lessons focus on building confidence, developing essential swimming skills, and fostering a lifelong love of the water.
We also teach vital water safety and survival techniques – because knowing how to stay safe in around water can help save lives.
We provide lessons for:
- Preschool children
- School-age children
Whether your child is dipping in the pool for the first time or wants to advance their skills – we’re here to support them all the way through their learn to swim journey.
Included in your swimming lessons membership:
- 48 swimming lessons per year (one per week)
- Unlimited pool access for the student and a supervising parent at Ashburton Pool and Recreation Centre, Hawthorn Aquatic and Leisure Centre and Boroondara Sports Complex – great for practice or play
- 10% merchandise discount
- Access to four make-up lessons per year for children who miss a lesson
- Optional summer suspension during non-program weeks
- Certificates for each level of the program achieved
